چکیده
Lettuce has great potential to be developed. However, the limited condition of agricultural land in Indonesia requires alternative for efficient cultivation systems that can maintain yield and growth lettuce plants. Therefore, carried out this study was on narrow with polybags using planting media top soil Alfisoll from Jamimo Village, Mariat District, Sorong Regency. Considering this, a conducted determine effect best concentration liquid Bioboost organic fertilizer increasing Alfisol media. This research Klawuyuk City, analyzed samples at Chemistry Soil Fertility Laboratory, Department Science, Faculty Agriculture, Hasanuddin University Makassar. used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) one treatment factor, namely Bio-Boost which consisted 4 levels, 1) without (control)); 2) 60 ml Bio- Boost + 1 liter water 3) 80 water; 4)100 water. Observational data were statistically analysis variance 5% level. The dosage gave very significant media, where B2 (80 water) resulted variables highest yield, plant height 39.5 cm, several leaves 11, leaf area 91.3 wet weight 610, gr.

Studies were carried out in 2005 and 2006 raing seasons at four locations (Abakaliki, Ezzamgbo, Ikwo and Okposi) within the Abakaliki Agro-ecological zone of southeastern Nigeria, to determine their suitability for the production of lettuce. The measurements included weather elements, soil physico-chemical propertiesand crop growth and yield. The data collected were subjected to statistical ana...
متن کاملEffects of Nitrogen Fertilizers on the Growth and Nitrate Content of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.)
Nitrogen is an essential element for plant growth and development; however, due to environmental pollution, high nitrate concentrations accumulate in the edible parts of these leafy vegetables, particularly if excessive nitrogen fertilizer has been applied. Consuming these crops can harm human health; thus, developing a suitable strategy for the agricultural application of nitrogen fertilizer i...
متن کاملCarotenoids of lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) grown on soil enriched with spent coffee grounds.
The impact of spent coffee grounds on carotenoid and chlorophyll content in lettuce (Lactuca sativa L. var. capitata) was evaluated. A greenhouse pot experiment was conducted with spent coffee amounts ranging from 0% to 20% (v/v). All evaluated pigments increased proportionally to spent coffee amounts. Lutein and β-carotene levels increased up to 90% and 72%, respectively, while chlorophylls in...

Process-based modelling approaches developed for field crops were adapted to address the behaviour of indoor-grown soil-less lettuce under alternative growth conditions. The equations for crop growth and development were simplified to common and consistent terms, re-designed against the peculiarities of a controlled environment and implemented into an easy-to-use, management-oriented, software ...
